Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking an Sr. A&P with Inspection Authority to join our team in Sanford, NC. The Aircraft Mechanic will perform various maintenance tasks, including inspections, fueling, and documentation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs routine duties such as furnishing materials, tools, and supplies to the mechanic; lifting and holding materials in place during operation; cleaning work areas and machines, tools, and equipment; cleaning aircraft, interior, and exterior parts and assemblies with solvents or other cleaning solutions; inflating tires; filling gasoline tanks and oil reservoirs; and greasing aircraft, using grease gun.
- Assists in towing and jacking aircraft, disconnecting instruments, ignition systems, fuel, and oil lines.
- Assists in dismantling, repairing, overhauling, or replacing parts and assemblies such as engines, plumbing, and hydraulic systems, and aircraft structural sections.
- Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other employees as needed.
- Reads and interprets manufacturer's maintenance manuals and technical data. Performs required maintenance activities.
- Maintains accountability and serviceability of test sets, special tools, and support equipment.
Requirements
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
- FAA Inspection Authorization.
- Two (2) years' experience with documented training on the type of aircraft specific to the contract.
- Two (2) years' experience, as manager or supervisor, leading Direct Reports.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50lbs, stand for the entire duty day.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet requirements to independently obtain rental vehicles at all assigned travel locations.
- Must be capable of obtaining a Secret Security Clearance.
Education
- High School Diploma preferred.
