Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, disassemble, rework, replace, reassemble, or adjust aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges, test equipment, and machines.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance activities to comply with FAA air carrier requirements.
- Complete all tasks to the manufacturer’s specifications and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions regarding airworthiness.
- Possess a thorough understanding of aircraft engine parts and systems. And mechanics by model and type.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunction, and complete documentation and reports.
- Possess problem-solving and organizational skills.
Job Requirements
- A&P License is required at the time of hire.
- Experience with King-Air, Bell Helicopters, and Hawkers preferred.
- This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment and periodic DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations.
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain an airport access badge.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, lie, bend, and kneel in tight spaces.
- Must be able to stand for long periods (reasonable accommodation may be requested).
- Must be able to perform work on ladders.
- Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate the tools and equipment required to make the necessary adjustments and repairs.
