About the role
Billings Flying Service (BFS) is seeking an A&P Helicopter Mechanic to support their CH-47 fleet operations. The position requires frequent out-of-town assignments with employer-provided lodging and per diem.
Requirements
- Maintain a close liaison with the crew supervisor to provide current status of aircraft maintenance activity and planning for upcoming maintenance events
- Perform and document maintenance and alterations of aircraft airframe, engines, and appliances in accordance with published procedures, manufacturer's manuals, and applicable regulations
- Ensure company aircraft are maintained in compliance with applicable 14 CFR regulations
- Provide after-hours maintenance support as directed
- Accurately document and address aircraft discrepancies while in revenue service and during major inspection events
- Complete and maintain aircraft maintenance records and associated documents in accordance with BFS MPM SOP, federal regulations, and company policies
- Possess a thorough knowledge of Federal aviation regulations, maintenance procedures, operations manuals, and other pertinent information
- Maintain company-owned calibrated tools within calibration time limits when used
- Operate and manage company-owned Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English
- Pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required
- Must possess good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a current and valid Driver's License
- Must have a current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
- Preferred: 5+ years working on the CH-47D or other Boeing aircraft types
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of Federal aviation regulations
- Ability to read and understand technical information
- Experience with CH-47D or other Boeing aircraft types (preferred)
- Ability to operate equipment and read technical information
- Exposure to weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold
