Responsibilities

• Maintenance on all ornamental plantings, including fertilizing, watering, and pruning
• Installation of plant material
• Spray and record all chemicals
• Maintain mulch and pine straw areas
• Operate small equipment
• Operate construction equipment (e.g., loader, backhoe)
• Supervise crew as required
• Work some weekends

Safety Requirements

• Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training programs
• Use personal protective equipment as trained and required
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Report safety or hazard concerns to management
• Report any on-the-job injury to management
• Take personal responsibility for safety every day

Requirements

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or landscape installation required
• Knowledge of plant material
• Physically able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods
• Able to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions
