A & O: Support Services for Older Adults has provided specialized social services to older adults since 1957, helping over 27,000 older Manitobans last year through programs focused on Safety & Security, Social Engagement, and Counselling.
About the role
Volunteers in the Connect Program provide social companionship to older adults living in the Winnipeg community in person. A minimum commitment of one hour per week is required, with flexible scheduling available during mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Engage in conversation and provide social companionship to older adults
- Work independently to visit clients at mutually convenient times
Requirements
- Strong English conversational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Completed Criminal Record Search and Adult Abuse Registry check (required of successful applicants)
- Available to commit a minimum of one hour per week

Schedule
