About the Role
Under the supervision of a certified teacher, you will assist in the supervision and instruction of students, working with individuals or small groups in a classroom setting. You will also monitor students in various environments such as the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and library, and provide clerical support to the teacher.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision and instruction of students
- Work with individual and/or small groups of students in a classroom
- Monitor students in settings including classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, and libraries
- Provide clerical support to the teacher
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- Meet the minimum requirement for a paraprofessional by holding one of the following:
- An associate of arts degree
- 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at an institution of higher learning
- Passed the state paraeducator assessment
- Job-related experience is desired

Work Environment
The role involves occasional physical demands such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, as well as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and fine finger dexterity. The job requires approximately 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The environment is generally hazard-free with minimal temperature variations.
Pay
$19.25 - $25.27 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule
5 days per week, 6.5 hours per day
