A Facility in MO Needs a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist

About the role

Work in an inpatient acute psychiatric unit managing 16‑18 patients per shift, Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4:30 pm with one weekend per month, and maintaining a follow‑up to new evaluation ratio of 1:4.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with anxiety, affective, and personality disorders.
• Manage involuntary commitments and apply restraints as needed.
• Provide pharmacotherapy and seclusion therapy.
• Perform follow‑up evaluations (ratio 1:4).
• ECT experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Experience treating anxiety, affective, and personality disorders.
• Experience with involuntary commitments and restraint application.
• Proficiency in pharmacotherapy and seclusion therapy.

Qualifications

ECT experience is preferred.

Pay

$185.00 – $220.00 per hour (all‑inclusive rate; shown as an estimate and subject to change based on critical need, experience, qualifications, and other factors).
