A Facility in MN Is Seeking a Locums Gastroenterologist

About the role

Locum tenens gastroenterology position providing inpatient rounding with both inpatient and outpatient procedure coverage in a hospital service setting. The assignment involves vacation coverage with potential for additional future dates.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (8‑hour weekday shifts)

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding and hospital service coverage
• Outpatient procedure coverage
• Perform advanced GI procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Perform upper GI endoscopy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and small bowel biopsy
• Provide vacation coverage; open to additional coverage dates as needed

Requirements

• Proficiency in advanced GI procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Experience with upper GI endoscopy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and small bowel biopsy
• Active medical license and credentials appropriate for hospital privileging

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $335 – $425 (all‑inclusive estimate combining base pay, overtime, call, and holiday pay; actual rate varies by need, experience, and qualifications)
