A Facility in Missouri Is Searching for a Locum Tenens Urgent Care Physician

About the role

Since 1995, Weatherby Healthcare has been a leader in locum tenens staffing for physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. This outpatient urgent care assignment treats adults and pediatrics (ages 6 months and older) with an average of 36‑48 patients per 12‑hour shift, using Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and pediatric patients (6 months+)
• Perform minor procedures including sutures, casting, splinting, and incision & drainage
• Interpret EKG and X‑ray studies

Requirements

• Board certified or board‑eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds

Skills

• EKG interpretation
• X‑ray reading
• Procedural skills (sutures, casts, splints, incision & drainage)

Pay

From $130.00 to $155.00 hourly (all‑inclusive, combining base pay with potential overtime, call, and holiday pay). Rates are estimates and vary based on critical need, experience, qualifications, and other factors.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday: 8 am – 8 pm; Saturday‑Sunday: 9 am – 5 pm; 12‑hour shifts.
