9th Grade Lead Baseball Coach -Sr. High

District-wide position reporting to the Activities Director. Non-exempt, extracurricular role compensated per certified contract.

About the Role

The 9th Grade Lead Baseball Coach provides leadership and expertise in the rules, strategies, and techniques of baseball. The coach prepares participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level, utilizing knowledge of equipment, physical fitness, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate successful practices and attend games/meets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff in support of the Head Coach.
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport with athletes.
• Motivate participants to achieve their maximum potential.
• Work collaboratively with the Head Coach, Activities Director, families, and community resources.
• Maintain compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Comply with and support all school district regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Activities Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• General office skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
