About the role
The Radar Repairer plays a crucial role in the Army National Guard's communication operations, ensuring that radar systems function effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and adjust system components, and test equipment to specific tolerances
- Perform initial, in-process, on-site technical, and quality control inspections
- Understand and troubleshoot air traffic control, missile tracking, air defense, and other radar systems
- Install receivers, transmitters, and other components
- Prepare and maintain equipment logs
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- At least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Between the ages of 17 and 35
- Able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

Pay
Actual pay range is between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
Schedule
Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 45 weeks of classroom instruction in two phases.
