About the role
The Stryker Systems Maintainer is responsible for maintaining and repairing various Stryker systems and vehicles to ensure mission success.
Responsibilities
- Perform field and sustainment-level maintenance on various vehicle systems including suspension, steering, hydraulic, fire extinguisher/suppressor, and armament systems.
- Supervise compliance with shop safety program and maintain power tools.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior-grade Soldiers.
- Perform battlefield damage assessment and repair.
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
- At least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma/GED certificate.
- Between the ages of 17 and 35.
- Able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
- Meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Qualifications
- Interest in mathematics, shop mechanics, and engine mechanics.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
Skills
- Engine disassembly and repair.
- Repair of hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems.
- Repair and maintenance of armament systems.
Pay
Actual pay range is between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
Schedule
Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
