91B Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic
About the role
As a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic for the Army National Guard, you will ensure that wheeled vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment are ready for operation. Your primary responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, and replacing various systems and components. You will also perform recovery operations and service electrical systems, such as wiring harnesses and charging systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain wheeled vehicles and their associated trailers and material handling equipment systems
- Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and starting and charging systems
- Perform recovery operations
Requirements
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

To qualify for this position, you must be willing to enlist in the Army National Guard and meet all eligibility criteria, including age, citizenship, and physical fitness requirements.

Schedule
The schedule for this position includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which may vary based on program availability.
