Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for mission-critical 911 systems and related technology platforms.
- Monitor daily operations, maintenance, and performance of emergency communication systems.
- Stay current with emerging 911 technologies and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify technology needs and prioritize projects.
- Work with software and hardware vendors to plan, implement, upgrade, and maintain enterprise systems.
- Participate in RFPs, RFIs, proposal evaluations, vendor selection, contract reviews, and SLA management.
- Oversee software and hardware deployment, testing, validation, and production implementation.
- Forecast infrastructure, equipment, and operational support requirements.
- Ensure technology projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Assist with installation, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Participate in testing of new technologies and system enhancements.
- Provide after-hours on-call support and participate in major incident response activities.
- Complete additional technical projects and assignments as required.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressively responsible IT experience.
- Minimum 5 years managing complex enterprise technology environments.
- Strong understanding of Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and 911 technologies.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure and operational best practices.
- Experience managing enterprise software and hardware environments.
- Strong understanding of: IT Solution Lifecycle, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Networking, Cybersecurity, Technology Architecture, Application Architecture, Computer System Validation (CSV), Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Operating System Administration, Database Technologies.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
- Ability to support mission-critical production systems.
