About the role

The role involves teaching Diagnostic Medical Sonography courses in various formats including traditional, hybrid, and online.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in DMS concepts in the classroom and laboratory settings.
• Use technology and Learning Management Systems to enhance classroom instruction.
• Conduct student conferences and maintain office hours.
• Participate in curriculum development and divisional committees.
• Adhere to professional ethics and policies.
• Teach a mix of day, evening, weekend, and online classes.
• Work at any of the College’s locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in teaching or relevant field, or an associate’s degree with 4+ years of full-time or full-time equivalent DMS experience.
• Current ARDMS credentials in OB/Gyn, RVT, and/or RDCS.
• Experience teaching in community college environments.
• Ability to teach diverse student populations.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills and familiarity with clinical tracking systems.
• Flexible to work at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Canvas and other learning platforms.
• Ability to teach in various formats including traditional, hybrid, and online.

Pay

The starting salary is commensurate with education, experience, and other qualifying factors and falls within the specified hiring range for the assigned rank. The hiring range for each rank is as follows: Instructor ($63,000 to $77,000), Assistant Professor ($72,000 to $82,000), Associate Professor ($81,000 to $93,000) and Professor ($90,000 to $100,000).

Schedule

The work schedule is determined based on the needs of the DMS program.
