About the role

Willowick Middle School seeks a long-term substitute teacher for the 2026-2027 school year starting on August 17, 2026 and ending on May 28, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Teach 8th grade math and science according to the curriculum.
• Adapt educational methodology and instructional techniques to meet student needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members about the curriculum.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members, students, and administration.

Requirements

• Valid certification from the Ohio Department of Education for teaching 8th grade math and science.
• Proficiency in teaching methodologies and instructional techniques.
• Scholarly competence in the subjects of math and science.
• Ability to communicate with students and parents about the relevance of the curriculum.

• Experience teaching 8th grade math and science.

Pay

Daily rate: $125.00 per day. After 30 consecutive days, the daily rate increases to $252.71 per day.

Teaching schedule to be determined based on the needs of the school and the availability of the substitute teacher.
