88N Transportation Management Coordinator
About the role
You will utilize your organizational skills to schedule and coordinate transportation for personnel and equipment, ensuring cargo and Soldiers make it to their required destinations. With more than 50,000 heavy trucks and buses in operation, it's up to the Transportation Management Coordinator to organize and oversee the scheduling of these vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Advising constituents of shipment and travel entitlements
- Requesting and coordinating transport capability
- Marking, documenting, and inventorying freight, cargo, and material shipments
- Operating automated data terminal equipment
- Arranging documentation and reports for follow-up, or responses to tracer actions
Requirements
- Interest in motor vehicles, aircraft, and ocean liner vessels
- Experience in coordinating transportation
- Interest in planning events and working with people
Qualifications
Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Must be between the ages of 17 and 35. Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards. Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Schedule
Basic Training: 10 weeks
Advanced Individual Training (AIT): 6 weeks
Pay
Between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change
