About the role

This position requires an active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with a Polygraph. The role designs, develops, and maintains software applications using a tailored SAFe Agile DevSecOps process, applying best practices and patterns for design, development, automated testing, and automated deployment via DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines. Duties include software requirements analysis, risk identification and mitigation, and collaboration across Agile teams. Flexible cross‑training to also provide systems engineering, software development, training, security, and testing is desired.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using Java, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate
• Develop APIs and microservices to manage and control data and access in an enterprise data lake
• Enable data search, correlation, analysis, and reporting based on data in an enterprise data lake
• Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods using JUnit and Katalon
• Develop and integrate custom software solutions leveraging automated CI/CD deployment technologies
• Use industry‑leading DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, and Unix bash scripting
• Develop, prototype, and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging infrastructure platform services
• Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases
• Analyze (through proof of concept, performance, and end‑to‑end testing) and effectively coordinate infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices
• Document and perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leveraging GitFlow constructs
• Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness
• Leverage Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence) to track activities
• Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures
• Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers

Requirements

• Proficient with common Agile practices, service‑oriented environments, and development practices
• Expert use and experience with Java, Spring, and C2S
• Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
• Expert utilizing software testing performance tools such as JUnit/Katalon
