About the role

This position requires an active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with a Polygraph. The Senior Cloud Engineer bridges cloud and code, providing technical leadership to implement a Cloud-based AWS architecture that software development teams can leverage. You will work directly with implementation teams to deliver technical guidance and set cloud-implementation priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AWS cloud architecture for software development teams.
• Provide technical leadership and execution guidance to mission teams under the Cloud Engineering Lead’s strategic direction.
• Develop innovative cloud-based solutions, including information-sharing and entity-resolution capabilities within a broader data architecture.
• Support the development of enterprise software solutions within AWS.
• Develop and integrate DevOps CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Confluence, Sonar Lint, and JUnit.

Requirements

• Significant experience with Cloud Technologies, specifically AWS, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Software Development, Systems Engineering/Verification and Validation, Security, Compliance, and Quality Assurance.
• Substantial experience working in Agile, SAFe, and Scrum environments.
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD technologies and deployment automation techniques.
• Knowledge of Software Configuration Management life cycle deliverables.
• BS degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or MS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications.
• Experience with large-scale data technologies (e.g., AWS Aurora, Hadoop, Elasticsearch).
• Experience working in low-to-high development/deployment environments.
