About the role
The Cloud Solutions Architect will lead a team that designs, trains, and deploys AI/ML systems for intelligence-community missions. Responsibilities span the full AI lifecycle—from framing data problems and building ETL pipelines to training models, productizing systems, and supporting operational users.
Responsibilities
- Train machine-learning models for tasks such as:
- Automated web-scraping and “self-healing” scrapes
- Visual detection of objects (vehicles, license plates, etc.) in video
- Review and analysis of terms-of-service documents
- Open-source data collection to train customer-owned AI/ML systems
- Develop complete AI-based systems that integrate multiple inputs, models, human-review workflows, databases, and outputs.
- Productize AI systems for use in intelligence-collection mechanisms.
- Provide operational support, including break-fix and software updates.
- Research open-source AI/ML technologies to bring cutting-edge capabilities to customer efforts.
- Collaborate with other IC elements engaged in AI initiatives.
- Frame and scale data problems; develop secure, scalable AI functionality in software applications.
- Align models with business objectives and track progress via metrics.
- Derive insights and analytic narratives from data visualizations for clear communication.
- Analyze AI/ML technology trends and their strategic implications.
- Perform independent technical research in robotics, autonomy, software engineering, and data analysis.
- Translate business requirements into AI solutions that fit the architectural framework.
- Program systems to detect specific conditions and respond autonomously.
Requirements
Mandatory
- Demonstrated experience understanding and automating customer workflows with AI solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
- In-depth experience with machine-learning tools and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
- Extensive math and computer-science skills, including probability, statistics, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in AI/ML programming languages (Python, Java, C++, Conda, etc.).
- Experience training AI models and integrating pre-trained models into data flows and architectures.
