About the role
B4Corp is a small defense contracting company focused on supporting the United States of America's intelligence community and other defense organizations. We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance who can contribute to mission-focused projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and modernize legacy applications
- Write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
- Leverage Amazon Web Services
- Create RESTful APIs
- Develop Java and Angular (Typescript) applications that integrate with Elasticsearch
- Design and utilize custom ETL methodology
- Communicate effectively and document designs and processes
- Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and automated testing using Selenium
- Mentor and teach junior developers
- Think critically and solve complex problems collaboratively
Requirements
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Developmental (0-2 years’ experience)
- Full Performance (3-5 years’ experience)
- Senior (6-10 years’ experience)
- Expert (11-15 years’ experience)
- SME (16+ years’ experience)
- BS degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Java, spring boot, Angular (Typescript), and AWS
- Experience with customer requirements and specifications
- Experience with custom ETL
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, selenium, and Rundeck
- Experience with command line (RH Linux)
- Optional Requirements:
- Understanding and knowledge with Identity and Accessibility development practices
- Experience with automation methodologies like selenium
- Experience with containerization and modular development
- Familiarity with UI/UX Design
- Full Stack Development
- Certification – Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Qualifications
- Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications
- Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
- Experience leveraging Amazon Web Services
- Experience creating RESTful API
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Develop Java and Angular (Typescript) that leverage Elasticsearch
- Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology
- Strong communication, design, and documentation skills
- Strong time and workflow management skills
- Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)
- Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies
- Willingness to mentor and teach junior developers
- Ability to methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions
