About the role

As Assistant Store Manager, you'll lead and engage a team, fostering a fun and inclusive environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Manager on Duty for employee scheduling, handling issues when the Store Manager is not present.
  • Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs, setting goals and providing regular follow-up when the Store Manager is absent.
  • Administer disciplinary measures, including warnings, to ensure store compliance.
  • Engage team members by understanding their roles and how they contribute to the store's success.
  • Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates for unexpected peaks when the Store Manager is not present.
  • Participate in LIDS Training Programs, adhere to set goals, and provide regular follow-up.
  • Recruit and train new store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
  • Aid in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
  • Encourage store associates' compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Execute Lids selling strategy to achieve KPIs, sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve customer feedback and address issues in the moment, including customer escalations and urgent requests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company Dress Code Policy.
  • Operate store technology and equipment, conducting daily audits, verifying functionality, and facilitating updates and maintenance.
  • Manage store facilities, supplies, and services by executing service requests, assessing needs, placing repair work orders, or replenishing supplies.
  • Effectively manage cash, including accurate opening and closing of the till, using counterfeit protection practices, and consistent bank drops.
  • Prepare the store for inventory audits and support in performing them to confirm inventory accuracy.
  • Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
  • Strategically organize the backroom to maximize efficiency, including arranging product/supplies to optimize space and productivity.
  • Execute optimal layout and visual merchandising strategies, including managing window activations, hardware flips, mannequin flips, and seasonal or weekly merchandise changes.
  • Maintain the store's look and feel through day-to-day visual merchandising and store actions (e.g., ensuring product recovery, restocking, destocking, or minor VM changes).
  • Execute special pricing signage and promotional presentations during operating hours to align with overall product sell-through strategy.
