About the role

Mercy Clinic – Joplin, Missouri is seeking a full-time BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologist to join their well-established, Commission on Cancer-accredited cancer center.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of 2 Hem/Onc physicians, 2 full-time Oncology Nurse Practitioners, and 1 Radiation Oncologist
• Support from nurse navigators and four dedicated oncology nurses in clinic
• 1:4 call schedule with a 4-day work week
• Single-hospital coverage—hospital is directly connected to the clinic
• Clinic adjacent to Infusion Center with onsite pharmacy support
• Robust clinical research program, including trials through NCI and the Guardian Research Network, with opportunities to conduct industry-sponsored trials and scholarly work
• Teaching opportunities with Kansas City University, including a stipend for precepting medical students
• Leadership opportunities available within Mercy
• Broad case diversity due to large regional referral area

Requirements

• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
• Minimum of 3 years of hematology/oncology experience
• Experience with clinical research and industry-sponsored trials
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current Medical License in Missouri
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Hematology/Oncology residency program
