Full-time, rotating shifts (36 scheduled weekly hours).

About the Role

In an inpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation, and excellent communication.

This is a full-time position available on D/E/N (day/evening/night) 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays per unit policy. Seeking highly motivated and flexible individuals with strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills to join the Surgical ICU/Progressive Care team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to assigned patients in an inpatient setting.
  • Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system.
  • Work as a team member and assist other staff with implementing patient care.
  • Assume responsibility for care of assigned patients under the direction of a co-assigned RN or MD.
  • Participate in the plan of care, implement appropriate nursing interventions, and contribute to patient/family education.
  • Collect data, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document care, and maintain excellent communication.
  • Assist in the care of all patients within the Surgical ICU/Progressive Care unit.

Requirements

  • Diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program.
  • Active New York State LPN license in good standing.
  • Acute medical-surgical experience or critical care experience preferred.

Pay

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job: $27.75 - $37.46 per hour. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within this range and determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
