About the Role
Haddonfield Friends School is seeking a Middle School Science teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Responsibilities include teaching the 7th and 8th grade Science curriculum, including related lab experiments and oversight of the Coriolis Science Fair.
Responsibilities
- Teach 7th and 8th grade Science curriculum, including lab experiments
- Oversee the Coriolis Science Fair
- Collaborate with colleagues as part of the Middle School Team
- Co-teach as needed
- Communicate with parents weekly
- Integrate technology in the classroom and use varied platforms in virtual learning
- Plan and participate in project-based learning, field trips, service integration, and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- 4-year degree (required)
- 2-4 years teaching experience in the Middle School classroom
- Genuine understanding of adolescent development and respectful behavior management
- In-depth knowledge of science concepts, the scientific method, and safe laboratory practices
- Strong technology skills
- Teaching certificate
