About the Role
North Valley Academy Charter School is seeking a 7–12 History Teacher to teach middle and high school history courses, including U.S. History, World History, Government, and related electives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering civic knowledge, critical thinking, and historical inquiry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver effective instruction in 7–12 history courses
- Develop and implement assessments to measure student learning
- Manage classroom behavior and create an engaging learning environment
- Encourage critical discussion and historical inquiry among students
- Contribute to school culture and participate in extracurricular programs
Requirements
- Idaho Teaching Certificate with Social Studies/History endorsement
- Demonstrated knowledge of historical content and pedagogy
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills

Pay
Salary ranges from $50,000 and upward, depending on experience and career ladder placement.
