7.5-hour position starting August 27, 2026. Reports to building administration.
Pay
As per the collective bargaining agreement with OSEA, currently $20.71 to $26.18 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in assessment of academic and behavioral/social skills and in prescriptive teaching in academic and behavioral/social areas.
- Provide instruction in small groups or one-on-one in multiple subjects.
- Supervise students in the classroom and non-instructional settings.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Accurate reading, writing, and listening skills.
- Ability to successfully work with moderately-impacted special education students.
- Meet ESSA requirements: two years (72+ quarter credits) of college credit or successful completion of Work Keys test exam (or other comparable skills evaluation) prior to hiring.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and adults.
- Must be currently or willing to become first aid/CPR certified.
- Physical ability to:
- Communicate with students, co-workers, and the public.
- Communicate over the telephone.
- Respond to telephones, bells, students, co-workers, etc.
- Respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.
- Read written material.
- Operate office equipment.
- Carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).
Preferences
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
