Duties And Responsibilities
- Establish a classroom structure that values positive relationships through intentional implementation of the district curriculum and the vision of high-quality instruction.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students, provide appropriate feedback on work, and use information to adjust teaching strategies according to student needs.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Required PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with English (BA or BX) endorsement for grades 6-12 or K-8.
- Completion of an approved teacher preparation program.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Language Arts, Education, or related field.
- Passing score on the MTTC English exam.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging standards-based instruction.
Preferred
- Additional certifications.
- Prior experience as an educator.
- Experience working with middle school students.
Salary: Based on experience and qualifications within the EREA Contract
