6th/7th Grade Teacher

About the role

Pingree-Buchanan School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused 6th/7th Grade Teacher to join our high school team. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with North Dakota State Standards to support the academic and social development of all students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subject areas including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level and professional learning communities
• Implement district curriculum and instructional best practices
• Support students’ social-emotional development
• Participate in MTSS/RTI processes and student support teams
• Supervise students during assigned duties (recess, lunch, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-8) or related field
• Valid North Dakota Teaching License (or ability to obtain)
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum and assessment practices
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the middle level
• Familiarity with North Dakota State Standards
• Training or experience in literacy and math best practices
