Responsibilities
- Design, document, and integrate electrical systems, components, interfaces, and wiring.
- Develop electrical wiring solutions for test articles and subassemblies.
- Perform system schematic analysis and electrical system design.
- Analyze and develop system requirements, interface definitions, and verification plans.
- Support hardware and software integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Select electrical components including cables, connectors, shielding, and terminal blocks.
- Support laboratory and flight test instrumentation and data acquisition activities.
- Collaborate with lab personnel during installation, integration, and testing.
- Investigate and resolve issues affecting fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
- Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS and Cameo to develop system architectures, perform trade studies, and support system definition activities.
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful system integration and compliance with technical requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience with electrical avionics system design, including electrical systems and subsystem design.
- Experience designing interface cables between electrical systems and aerospace platforms.
- Experience with electrical hardware and software integration.
- Experience coordinating with vendors for component selection.
- Experience performing hardware and software testing in laboratory environments.
- Knowledge of VPX/VME architectures.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and interfaces including RS-422, RS-232, PC104, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553.
- Technical knowledge of aerospace systems such as air vehicles and/or weapons systems.
- Experience with system or product development and integration.
Qualifications

- Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles or cybersecurity certifications.
Experience with network design.
Knowledge of military standards used in hardware design and testing, including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-1472.
Experience creating electrical schematics using CAD tools.
Experience implementing and maintaining systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics, including DOORS, Cameo, and Earned Value Management.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
CompTIA Security+ certification.
