5E Medical/Surgical Nurse - Nights - Faulkner
About the role
5 East is a new 26 private bed medical unit specializing in the cardiac population, caring for patients requiring cardiac telemetry, cardiac medication infusions, CHF management, and post cardiac catheterization care.
Responsibilities
- Plan and provide patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual.
- Demonstrate initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs.
- Assume full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Directly responsible to a designated nurse manager or supervisor.
- Affirm the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.
Qualifications
- BSN required
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required
- Medical/surgical/telemetry experience preferred
- Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred
- Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
- Ability to demonstrate observational skills and set priorities
- Able to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards

Pay and Benefits
