Salary: Base Salary ranges from $62,700 to $104,700, commensurate with experience.
About the Role
Teach varying exceptionalities courses including Intensive Reading to students in grades 9-12.
Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans and instructional strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Provide differentiated instruction to support students with varying exceptionalities.
- Collaborate with special education teachers and related service providers to develop IEPs and modify curriculum as needed.
- Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of exceptionalities.
Requirements
- Florida certification in Reading Endorsement or Reading K-12 and Exceptional Student Education (grades K-12).
- Out-of-state certification for Florida reciprocity if applicable.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a major commonly accepted for a Florida temporary educator certificate, or passing the FTCE Subject Area Exam in ESE K-12.
