504 Coordinator
About the role
The At-Risk Services 504 Coordinator will collaborate with staff to enhance educational outcomes for all students by delivering high-quality interventions tailored to students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, revise, and format all paperwork to service 504 plans at OHVA
- Maintain Section 504/ADA compliance guides
- Oversee the 504 referral, evaluation, and service delivery process
- Develop, write, and implement accommodations for 504 plans
- Schedule and conduct yearly reviews for all 504 plans
- Maintain the 504 database, student files (forms, plans, tracking, testing accommodations)
- Communicate with families regarding existing or future 504 plans
- Collect information to determine student eligibility for 504 accommodations
- Provide training and guidelines on 504 plan procedures and eligibility to staff
- Ensure 504 plan accommodations are implemented in educational and testing settings
- Receive and review 504 plans from other schools for new students
- Coordinate school efforts to comply with Section 504 regulations, including staff training
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, education, or social services
- 3 or more years of experience in health or education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
- Web proficiency
- Ability to clear required background check

Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of directly related experience in an online school setting
Work Environment
This position is virtual with some required travel for professional development and testing. The role requires the ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, and maintain a professional home office without distraction during work hours (typically 9–5 or 8–4, or as defined by the school). The home office environment may include moderate noise from computers, printers, light foot traffic, household appliances, and typical household distractions. Meeting locations throughout the state typically have a moderate noise level similar to the home office.
