About the role

Easterseals, a national nonprofit, supports individuals with disabilities through its Career Pathway Connections program. This program offers person-centered employment services for Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and hard of hearing individuals, providing ASL-proficient support, workplace accommodations, and assistive technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers in overcoming employment barriers, developing skills, and achieving vocational goals through job coaching and employability training.
• Develop and execute personalized employment plans using person-centered strategies.
• Build employer networks and conduct ongoing outreach to promote hiring diversity and program services.
• Offer on-the-job training, support, and counseling related to disability and workplace needs.
• Represent the program at meetings, networking events, and conferences.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field with one year of experience, an AA degree with two years of experience, or a high school diploma with three years of experience.
• Experience: Expertise in hearing loss and workplace needs, with skills in addressing business requirements and evaluating job performance.
• Requirements: Fluent in ASL.

Skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Adaptable training approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
