Starting hourly rate: $15.50 USD per hour. Pay range: $15.50 USD - $23.25 USD per hour.

About the role

As an Inbound Expert, you’ll enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. This role leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store, including Food & Beverage and Food Service. You’ll also own pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work to deliver efficiently to guests.

This role helps build skills for a career through guest service fundamentals, retail business knowledge (sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency), and executing workloads to support business priorities and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience:
  • Greet guests within 10 feet (smile, make eye contact, or wave) and initiate warm interactions at 4 feet.
  • Help guests find what they need or resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
  • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive, respectful attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an inspiring experience.
• Execute a detailed, accurate, and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize, and store reserve product; straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment (if certified) while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, report hazards, and correct them where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-Up (DU) while maintaining compliance (e.g., adult beverage laws).
• Perform all other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate using frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish tasks within timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Frequently lift, carry, and move merchandise up to 44 pounds throughout a shift without assistance; perform repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and rotating motions.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak times); come to work as scheduled, work shifts, and take required meal/rest breaks.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift (shift length may vary).
