Starting hourly rate: $16.50 USD per hour. Pay range: $16.50 – $24.75 USD per hour.

The General Merchandise and Food Sales team ensures product is set, in‑stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor, handling inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing for all General Merchandise areas, including Food & Beverage and Food Service.

Responsibilities

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for General Merchandise categories.
• Operate powered equipment while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely, follow safety policies, report hazards and correct them when possible.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU) and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with federal, state and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Greet guests, engage in a welcoming manner, assist with their needs, and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple‑frequency devices, operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi‑step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders; scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times) and reliable, prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carry‑out.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
