About the role
Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. As an Inbound Expert, you’ll enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. This role leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and presentation processes for General Merchandise (GM) areas, including Food & Beverage and Food Service. You’ll also own pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work to deliver efficiently to guests.

Responsibilities
- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by:
- Greeting guests within 10ft (smile, eye contact, or wave) and 4ft (initiate a warm interaction)
- Helping guests find what they need or resolving issues for a smooth shopping experience
- Ending every transaction with a sincere thank you
- Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude
- Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an inspiring experience
- Execute accurate and efficient sorting operations, stocking, and organizing reserve product
- Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories
- Operate powered equipment (if certified) for unloading freight or moving merchandise
- Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive items in compliance with laws
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report and correct hazards
- Support guest services like back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-Up (DU) while maintaining compliance (e.g., adult beverage laws)
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate using frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly and on the spot
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within timeframes
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including:
- Frequently lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance
- Repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and rotating motions
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times)
- Work scheduled shifts, including required meal and rest breaks
- Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
