4463-Head of Thought Leadership
About the Role
Innovaccer is building the AI-native, autonomous operations platform for healthcare — and we need someone to own the story of what that means. The Head of Thought Leadership owns messaging and positioning at two levels: the company-wide healthcare autonomy narrative that defines what Innovaccer is, and the category-level frame that sits above our four solutions (Gravity, Atlas, Galaxy, and Flow) so they read as one company's story rather than four separate products. This is a research-and-influence role, not a command role. Each solution has its own Head of Marketing who owns that solution's strategy, pipeline, and messaging sign-off directly — senior, strategic peers, not people you manage. You earn alignment by being the best-informed point of view in the building: the person who has done the analyst research, tracked the competitive landscape, and built a category narrative good enough that four GM-level peers choose to work inside it.
A Day in the Life
- Own the central healthcare autonomy narrative — the company-wide argument for why $1.1T in human-dependent healthcare admin spend is shifting to autonomous software, and why Innovaccer's Memory / Intelligence / Orchestrated Execution architecture and autonomy maturity path (L1-L5) is the credible way to get there.
- Keep that narrative current as the market moves — refresh the proof points (workflow counts, model benchmarks, customer results) regularly while keeping the underlying argument stable enough that it doesn't reset with every update.
- Own the research base the rest of the role runs on: analyst positioning (KLAS, Gartner, Forrester, and equivalents), competitive messaging and claims, and market and category narrative trends in healthcare AI. Brief analysts directly at the category level.
- Define the category messaging framework that sits above all four solutions — the shared vocabulary, category claims, and narrative architecture each solution's messaging should sit inside — built together with each solution's Head of Marketing, not handed down.
- Work with each Head of Marketing, through a dotted-line relationship, to catch messaging drift early and keep solution-level narrative aligned with the category framework — through influence and a shared framework, not sign-off authority.
- Ensure the same central narrative and category framework show up consistently across every channel — PR, LinkedIn, blog, website, and internal communications — regardless of which solution or team originated the content.
- Partner with PR, Content, and Analyst Relations to keep output aligned, without owning their headcount.
- Represent Innovaccer's category point of view externally — bylines, speaking opportunities, and analyst-facing narrative that sits above any single solution — and identify the handful of category-level arguments worth having a strong, consistent public point of view on.
- Run a regular forum with all four Heads of Marketing to keep the framework current, and escalate directly and collaboratively — peer to peer — when a solution's messaging has drifted.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in category marketing, communications, or thought leadership, ideally in healthcare technology, healthcare IT, or enterprise AI.
- A track record of building and defending a category-level narrative — not just a product pitch — including direct experience briefing industry analysts (KLAS, Gartner, Forrester, or equivalents).
- Strong understanding of healthcare AI, automation, and the operational/administrative cost structure of U.S. healthcare.
- The judgment and credibility to influence senior, strategic peers without formal authority over them — this role leads through the strength of its research and argument, not through sign-off power.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable representing the company externally (press, analysts, speaking engagements) and building a shared framework internally.
- Demonstrated ability to think at the category level while staying grounded in what is actually true and defensible for individual products — this role has no authority to override product-level positioning calls.
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating with real ambiguity in a fast-moving, category-defining company.
