4.5 Hour Food Service Helper - Woodrow Wilson Elementary School

Location: Woodrow Wilson Elementary School / Cheektowaga-Sloan UFSD

10-month position (September - June), Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Pay: Per the CSEA Contract; minimum wage $16.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Service Helper in Charge with food preparation and daily operations of the school cafeteria
• Prepare food for students and serve meals (which includes standing for extended periods of time)
• Wash student and staff trays
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and perform simple math (addition and subtraction) to balance a cash drawer
• Meet deadlines with severe time constraints
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Helper in Charge or Food Service Director
