3rd Shift Slasher Operator

About the role

The slasher operator is a critical position in the production process, serving both as a customer and supplier to the warping and entering departments. This role involves producing high-quality warps while ensuring efficient operation of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Mix sizes according to formulas
• Ensure temperature and time requirements are met
• Set machines and make necessary adjustments
• Monitor machines throughout the slashing process
• Handle and transport materials such as beams

Requirements

• Basic math skills for material calculations
• General computer knowledge
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (hoist, hand jack)
• Pass a slasher pre-hire test
• Able to work in confined spaces without damaging yarn

Qualifications

• Experience in similar roles preferred
• Knowledge of ISO *AS9100 standards
