Job Description Having the mindset of SAFETY FIRST for all our employees. Observing and reporting abnormal activities then taking the appropriate action. Responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors of the organization. Duties/Essential Functions Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entryUses good judgement and obtains help by sounding alarms and calling 911 as neededPrevents losses and damage by observing and reporting irregularities; informing appropriate management and staff of policy violations, and proceduresDirect vehicle/employee/visitor traffic flow as needed; managing truck drivers as they arrive on site.Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses, obtaining signatures and managing surveillance technology appropriatelyMaintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controlsMaintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements and handling responsibilities while refraining from physical contact with othersEnsures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating and learning new equipment and techniquesContributes to team effort by coordinating and communicating with other departmentsPrepare visitor passes and log, record the time, dates and other details of visitorsEnsure that all employee parking rules are adhered toUtilize technology and MS Office to read, record and maintain data Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Professional surveillance, safety management and reporting skillsDealing with uncertainty and good judgementObjectivity and emotional control – knowing how to deescalate situationsDependability and integrity Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED At least 18 years of age Guard card preferred Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in basic English Entry level computer skills/crafting emails Professional demeanor and bearing as a representative of the Taylor Farms brand Active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, etc. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
