Wage & Schedule
- Wage: $22/hour PLUS $2/hour shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shift
- Schedule: Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday (based on plant needs)
- 1st shift: 5AM–1PM
- 2nd shift: 1PM–9PM
- 3rd shift: 9PM–5AM
Primary Responsibilities
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances
- Handle and move objects using hands and arms, including repetitive motions
- Perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
- Start machines or equipment to begin production processes and operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators
- Prepare raw materials for processing, including dumping ingredients into machine hoppers prior to mixing
- Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using manual or powered lifts
- Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks
- Conduct and document quality checks including weight control records, code date check sheets, etc.
- Record information such as number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production; read gauges or charts and record data
- Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines
- Clean and lubricate equipment; wash work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products
- Break up defective products for reprocessing
- Peel rework and run through salvage press for continuous hours of your shift
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader
- Follow FSQ requirements such as GMPs and other daily/job specific duties to support QRMP
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards while following all company established safety policies and procedures
- Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats
- Observe, receive, and acquire information from all relevant sources
- Communicate with supervisors and peers by telephone, in writing, or in person
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or other problems or defects
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and tackle problems
- Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks
- Establish and maintain constructive and harmonious working relationships with others
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed indoors around industrial equipment in varying temperatures
- Pace determined by speed of equipment
- Some extended hours on each shift along with some weekends and holidays
- Periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
