3rd Shift Receiver
Full-time, permanent overnight shift position at our warehouse facility.
Schedule
- Sunday through Thursday, overnight shift (8:00 PM – 4:00 AM)
Pay
- $18.00+ per hour, based on experience
- Paid weekly with overtime opportunities
About the role
As the 3rd Shift Receiver, you will help keep our operation running smoothly by receiving deliveries, inspecting products for quality and accuracy, organizing inventory, and ensuring items are stored and prepared properly for outbound orders. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the high standards our company and customers rely on.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will work in a fast-moving warehouse environment handling specialty produce. The warehouse temperature ranges from 32-65°F, and the role involves constant movement, including hopping on and off an electric pallet jack. Safety is a top priority, and we provide necessary protective gear and training.
Responsibilities
- Unloading trucks or supervising the unloading process
- Verifying product quantities against bills of lading and invoices
- Inspecting each lot of fresh fruits and vegetables for quality, condition, and freshness
- Documenting quality concerns, condition issues, and quantity discrepancies on bills of lading and invoices
- Following company receiving, quality-control, and safety procedures
- Preparing outbound customer orders, loading trucks accurately, and completing required paperwork
- Assigning and directing other staff members to assist in unloading, product put away, lot rotation, or customer order selection as needed
- Navigating the warehouse during busy hours when cash and carry customers are present
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong interpersonal and basic math skills
- Proficiency with computers (Windows, Excel, Word)
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a physically active, fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and safety-minded
- Team-oriented with a focus on quality and collaboration
- Comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 32-65°F
Dress Code
- Sturdy, closed-toed shoes (preferably comfortable) with socks and long pants
- Hi-Vis reflector jacket (provided by JVI)
- Clothing without offensive writing or drawings
