3rd Shift Quality Assurance Supervisor (1143946)

About the Role

We are seeking a 3rd Shift Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor to oversee quality operations across 2nd and 3rd shifts, ensuring strict compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This is an off-shift position (primarily 3rd shift) with weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Scheduling: Supervise, train, and guide QA technicians during off-shift operations; assist with employee scheduling and overtime planning.
• Operations & Document Control: Direct daily lab/plant QA tasks, ensuring accurate documentation, completion of shift requirements, and oversight of lab supply inventory.
• Compliance & Audits: Support Organic, Allergen, Gluten-Free, and Environmental monitoring programs (swabbing); assist with GMP plant inspections and internal/external audits.
• Equipment & Technical Support: Support PMs, troubleshooting, and calibrations for laboratory and plant equipment; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with the QA Manager and Assistant QA Manager daily to align on priorities, issues, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of QA experience in food manufacturing required; 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
• Background in dairy or regulated food manufacturing preferred; strong knowledge of GMPs, food safety programs, and quality systems.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment, documentation systems, and lab procedures/testing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Pay

$65,000–$85,000 a year
