3rd Shift Production Associate - Shakeout
About the role
CPI is seeking a Production Associate to join their team at the Georgetown, Texas location. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside Employee Owners who build the physical infrastructure powering, protecting, and securing the world's digital technology.
Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means.
- Assists production operators.
- Moves and transports raw materials and finished product.
- Hangs fabricated parts on the conveyor paint line to engineering specifications.
- Prepares parts for painting.
- Removes parts from the line once painted.
- Removes debris from parts before hanging.
- Determines best practice hanging methods to maximize paint quality and load density.
- Inspects hooks for burn off lifecycles.
- Inspects and maintains equipment for compliance with safety requirements.
- Corrects any safety issues prior to operating the equipment.
- Inspects coated items for paint coverage and tests for coating thickness.
- Performs some washer preventive maintenance tasks.
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment.
- Trains others to hang parts on the paint line.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Disposes of trash and production scrap.
- Assists in cleaning common areas.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

- Technical Competencies: A minimum of one (1) year of related experience strongly preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications to properly select parts. Capable of using measuring devices as required for product inspection. Good mechanical skills including the use of hand tools. Good troubleshooting skills such that, after a reasonable training period, the employee will be able to evaluate operational problems of the equipment and know the proper corrective actions. Ability to read and understand equipment operating, maintenance, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Physical/Environmental Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, carrying, lifting, stooping, and crouching. Work with fabricated metal parts, powder coated materials and cleaning chemicals. Lift up to 40 lbs.
