3rd Shift Materials Handler

Responsibilities

• Learns and understands company safety policies and procedures and promotes compliance.
• Increases productivity and lowers material cost while maintaining expected levels of quality and communication with superiors.
• Affords assistance in transforming the shop floor culture into one of Continuous Improvement and Accountability.
• Demonstrates reliability through exceptional attendance.
• Embraces and enhances a positive culture.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Packs, crates, loads, and secures product for finished stock preparation for shipment.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
• Maintains in-process inventory.
• Contributes to team effort by recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.

Requirements

• Current and valid OSHA forklift operation certificate.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years’ inventory management experience.
