Position Summary
This position reports to the Facilities/Maintenance Manager of the Bowling Green, KY facility. The Maintenance Tradesperson will perform pipefitting, mechanical maintenance, and electrical activities including the installation and repair of all piping systems, valves, pumps, vacuum pumps, compressors, plant electrical service and distribution systems, motor control centers, PLC’s, cabling, conduit, wire terminations, etc., throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Aid in preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Perform basic repairs, adjustments, inspections, and equipment checks as assigned.
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues under supervision.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and communicate equipment concerns to the Maintenance Lead or other designated personnel.
- Maintain tools, work areas, and maintenance shops in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements and environmental standards.
- Document completed work, parts used, and equipment issues in maintenance logs or a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Aid in the installation, movement, and setup of equipment and related components.
- Identify worn or damaged parts and support replacement or repair efforts.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on equipment uptime, reliability, and workplace organization.
- Work collaboratively with operations, production, and other team members to minimize downtime.
- Work from manufacturers’ manuals, schematics, and engineering data to ensure equipment functions as designed.
- Work on transfer/inject machines, assembly machines including technologies with PLC’s, robotics, and mechanical operations.
- Participate in work groups High Performance Teams for continuous improvement.
- Respond to safety concerns.
- Assist manufacturing engineering in support of process improvements and project development.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience
- 3 – 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of and ability to use tools of several trades to setup, repair, and maintain equipment, machines, structures, and utilities.
- Ability to read detailed blueprints and understand the effect of machine operation.
- Basic knowledge of power plant equipment.
- Ability to diagnose trouble and determine best avenue of correction.
- Ability to determine own sequence of work with detailed direction being provided on more complicated assignments.
- Ability to use both hand and power tools of several crafts for performing diversified tasks.
- Must be able to understand technical data in plant equipment manuals.
- Ability to communicate necessary job information.
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently or in a team.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative team-oriented.
- Plumbing, pipe fitting experience.
- Welding experience (mig, tig, arc, torch).
- Electrical maintenance experience (reduced voltage controls, remote push-button stations, overload protection fuses).
Education
- Required: High School Diploma.
- Preferred: Two-year technical engineering degree or completion of vocational training program in industrial maintenance, automotive technology, or electronics PLC programming.
- Or actively pursuing a two-year technical degree or equivalent.
