3rd Shift Machine Operator Backup Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC vertical machining centers.
• Able to read and interpret component prints or drawings, make calculations, and resolve technical problems.
• Must be proficient in the use of measuring devices (i.e., calipers and micrometers).
• Must understand G&M Codes and Macro programming.
• Demonstrate ability to enter and edit programs to ensure proper machine operation.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Utilize knowledge of machining processes to produce quality parts.
• Conduct first piece & hourly inspection to ensure quality standards.
• Successfully demonstrated trouble shooting and problem-solving ability.
• Understand and implement preventative maintenance requirements of CNC machining centers.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain 5S and workplace organization.
• Maintain metric documentation and daily reporting of work center performance, KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost.

Educational, Experience, and Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years as a CNC Machinist experience is required.
• Advanced degree/trade school preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Safety First attitude.
• Setup and Troubleshooting.

Compensation

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including Medical, Dental, 401K and bonuses. $28 - 32/hr. with $1.75 shift.
