3rd Shift Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform routine duties to operate various plastic molding/assembly machines producing a wide variety of molded parts.
• Visually scan for manufacturing defects, trim, sort, assemble, weigh/count and package parts.
• Make up boxes, record, verify production labels and operate grinder.
• Work from verbal and posted written instructions at the press.
• Maintain work area in neat and orderly manner; housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness and safety requirements.
• Report on defective material and equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity standards.
• Follow the GMP rules, safety rules and wear required protective clothing or items.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
• Continue to grow job-specific knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Regular, predictable on-site attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Perform other related duties/functions as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Usually stand/walk most of the work day.
• Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Occasionally lift, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.
• Use of specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Infrequent use of finger/hand movements and keyboarding.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Must be able to read/write/speak English.
• Basic math proficiency.

Pay

Starting pay $18/hour (based on experience) + 8% shift premium for 3rd shift.

Schedule

3rd shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
