3rd Shift Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications, select appropriate tools and parameters, and monitor machine operation to ensure quality and productivity.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Document processes and production data.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with formal training in machining being preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is important, and proficiency in operating various machine tools, including CNC machines.

• Computer skills.
• A basic understanding of machining principles, the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to problem-solve and adhere to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate the ability to run master’s and/or run rabbits.
• Reset errors and perform machine offsets.

Desirable

• Demonstrate correct gaging techniques and perform all quality verifications within the cell/line to the required standard.
• Demonstrate the ability to replace tool bars.
• Demonstrate the ability to change filters.
• Demonstrate the ability to restart equipment after power down.
• Demonstrate the ability to change tool bars.
• Demonstrate the ability to program tool offsets.
